We got tired of over-priced pack rods, so we decided to build our own. The FFB Mountain Pack Rod is a 9 foot, 7-piece, 5-weight fly rod with a medium-fast to fast action (8.5). It is built with IM-8, 45-Ton modulus carbon, stainless snake guides, a classic Walnut reel seat, and a top quality AAA Portuguese cork grip. The Mountain Pack Rod is translucent green with dark aqua wraps and silver piping and it weighs only 3.8 ounces. The rod comes with a classic rod sock and a black cordura covered fly rod tube that is 20 inches in length. Now that will pack nicely for the hike to the headwaters.
